NEWS ABSTRACT10/22/2026 · one shared analysis

SpatialBrain is a framework for spatial reasoning that keeps a vision-language backbone fixed while retaining experience about when to observe directly, reconstruct, measure, or change reference frames. It combines 3DFusionMemory, which fuses current-scene observations into queryable spatial relations, with a Spatial Skill Library of reusable tool procedures and a Spatial Cognition module linking task conditions to memory and skill use. Completed trajectories are abstracted into process records and consolidated between task blocks without transferring scene coordinates or reference answers. Across five spatial-reasoning benchmarks, it improves on direct answers from the same backbone on four and ties on the fifth.

Why it matters

It suggests that accumulated procedural experience about tool-use decisions, kept separate from scene evidence, may improve spatial reasoning without retraining the underlying model.
