A path-following framework on fiber bundle for variational inequalities

The paper proposes a path-following framework for finite-dimensional variational inequalities with arbitrary continuous mappings and polytope domains. It transforms a general VI into a smooth VI on a simplex and formulates it on a fiber bundle called the fixed-point bundle, which integrates initialization, path-following, and singularity avoidance. The framework is claimed to guarantee global linear convergence for nonsingular solutions and convergence to any prescribed precision for singular ones, without monotonicity assumptions. Experiments on 6400 random instances up to dimension 1024 reached precision 1e-5 in every case.

How to read this signalSix questions about claims, sources, risks, and open checks

This is a signal-level guide until claim-level evidence is available. “Not recorded” means the evidence has not been assessed here; it does not mean a result is false. How we check AI news →

  1. 01
    Who is making each claim?

The claimant and whether each claim was measured or asserted are not recorded in this public brief.

  2. 02
    What was actually tested?

Not recorded per claim. Check the source for sample size, tasks, model and benchmark versions, and reproducibility.

  3. 03
    Where are the sources?

Original link: huggingface.co. Brief basis: fetched source page. Primary page date and quote locations are not established in this panel.

  4. 04
    What could mislead?

Experimental evidence is limited to randomly generated instances; source claims not independently checked.

  5. 05
What is at risk if wrong?

Not assessed per claim. Consider safety, privacy, cost, and adoption decisions before relying on the result.

  6. 06
    What would change the view?

No claim-specific check is recorded. An inspectable primary method or independent replication could change the assessment.

Key findings from the stored brief

  • The method transforms a general variational inequality into a smooth VI on a simplex before path-following.
  • At singular points, the algorithm jumps along the fiber to a nonsingular point and continues.
  • Global linear convergence is claimed for nonsingular solutions, and up to any prescribed precision for singular ones.
  • On 6400 random instances with dimensions up to 1024, the gap was reduced below 1e-5.
Read with care

Experimental evidence is limited to randomly generated instances; source claims not independently checked.

This is a source-based abstract, not independent validation of the source's claims.
